About Christine Free Sabo - LCMHC

I’m Christine Free Sabo, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, mystic, and founder of Merkaba Sacred Healing & Counseling PLLC. I work at the intersection of psychology and mysticism—where evidence-based therapy meets the sacred art of healing. My goal is simple: to help you reconnect with the strength, wisdom, and wholeness that have always lived within you.

Since I was very young, I’ve known my calling was to help others. That calling deepened through my own life experiences—navigating trauma, grief, and profound transformation. These personal seasons of challenge and renewal shaped how I understand healing today: as both sacred and deeply human, a process of remembering rather than repairing, nurturing rather than forcing.
After earning my B.A. in Psychology from Plymouth State University (2010) and my M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University (2016), my path continued to evolve. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—teacher, counselor, instructor, trainer, healing energy facilitator and guide. I’ve lived a life rich with movement and growth, from supporting others in the fitness and yoga world to navigating the unique demands of a military lifestyle while completing my graduate training and licensure. Through it all, I’ve come to understand that mind, body, and spirit are never separate—they’re always in dialogue, each holding wisdom essential to our wholeness.
Today, my work bridges the worlds of science and soul. I’m honored to walk beside each client—whether a trauma survivor, first responder, veteran, or a self seeker—as they rediscover their innate capacity for peace, resilience, and self-trust. Because in the end, you are everything and nothing less.

Philosophy & Approach

I believe healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken, it’s about how we nurture ourselves and remembering what’s whole. Every part of us: our mind, body, and spirit, holds its own intelligence and story. My work integrates trauma-specialized psychotherapy with somatic awareness, mindfulness, hypnosis, energy healing, and symbolic exploration. Whether you’re navigating stress, trauma, or transition, I combine science, structure, and compassion to help you rebuild safety, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect to purpose. This work is not about perfection, it’s about presence.
